I think I’m near the end of the game now . 😦 There’s some stuff that I didn’t do beforehand like get all the stuff from old man that counts all the bumping and falling, that area west of Lazulis Road with the 5, uh, square difficulty level, or re-visit some areas with no battles to see if they trigger side stories. I could swear I’m missing something between Chapters 25 – 29. Sigh.
Anyway, this log is probably going to be spoiler-infested and I’m not going to hide them this time around so turn away now! However, as usual, please refrain from asking me any how to’s, where to find this or that — basically, any guide-like questions — because I have a severely abysmal memory so chances are, I won’t be able to recall anything. ^^; Sorry.
Now, let’s begin~!
In case you didn’t notice the warning above, there are SPOILERS EVERYWHERE below.
- Buh. The Outsider getting all rageful and venting anger toward anything other than the Count is kind of silly, IMO. But I guess it treated the party as people in league with him.
. - Didn’t except giant undead invincible boss to show up again. Glad I did my millions of runs at the Haunted Mansion. It didn’t even take 2 minutes to take it down.
. - About to do the battle with the evil Gurak twins. Let’s see how terrible it is.
. - One of the records in the library says that the descendants of the Aragnan and Sorceress and the one that bore the Mark of the Outsider need to be present in order to form the rite. At first, I thought Therius would be the descendant of the Sorceress, now I’m wondering if it’s someone else or if Zael just happens to be that too. XD We shall see~~~~~~
. - Still kind of puzzled that no one’s thought about Dagran. BUT!! He was just mentioned at the Reptids’ Cave part as some reminiscence thing. I wonder if something happened in those chapters that I’m thinking that I’m missing. (However, those would be side stories, I’d think. Something like this would be part of the plot.)
. - Ahaha. The summon circle in this area always has an enemy archer literally pop up right next to where Mirania is standing/hiding. XD
. - Lowell and Syrenne’s battle is insane.
Need to find a weapon that can take out enemies fast. GODDAMN. Didn’t notice the things I could reboot until after Lowell KO’d. Probably have to do this all over again. Sigh.
. - Buh. Took so many times to get the damn sword in the fight against the king. >:/ Uh … didn’t they notice the damn hand taking off?
. - Goddamn writers, THAT’S NOT A CURVE BALL. 😡 Stupid cliches.
. - Last fight is a bit of a bugger. Have to replay all forms in the fight after failing. >_> Bleh. I think I figured it out on my last life but … I really suck at climbing. XD This is going to be quite interesting. I’ll stop for a while.

- Taking a break from the final fight and reloaded an older save. Man, that Reptids’ Cave sure has cruddy treasures for the level of difficulty (enemies are Lv 50+). Eeew. Even the weapon you get from the boss is kind of meh at this point in the game.
. - This, to me is the best area for falling and smacking Zael’s head against a sign since you have 3 baskets in the area and one handy shop sign! XD

- Ha, I figured he wasn’t dead. And what the? Came across two rare weapons while running away at the end. Why is it that these games never have a real sense of urgency? I just stood around and waiting for all the dialogue to finish before continuing at each screen. 😛 Oh, I spoke too soon. Stupid bridge went and collapsed on me. 😛 Geezus, the Wii can get a major workout loading the next section sometimes.
. - Ended up giving Zael some more clothes for the rite since I figure I wouldn’t be able to take it very seriously if he were half naked with the bottom half of a dragon (not to mention the tail). I changed it to Cloth Armour and Brave Greaves so it’s it’s not like I just stuck different armour on him and kept the silly Dragon Greaves. XD
. - Playing the Epilogue now and the first thing I do is go into the city and head for The Flame & Lizard. The haremmmm~~~~~ I wonder if the ladies are still there? Yup. They are but awww, Calista doesn’t accompany him. ^^ Edit: Ahaha. Oh no. The arena has that Gurak beast tamer guy. XD He’s such a goof with his anti-duel method. I even did that fight twice. Let’s see what this Season 3 is like. Edit #2: Oh wait. It’s the pirate guy. Edit #3: Ow. These battles hurt.
. - Random screenshot:

- HEY! All the treasure’s gone from Zael’s room! 😡 And ahahaha, the craftsman outside his room. XD LOL. The Reptid duel is accessible again! XD
. - Man, the epilogue is pretty long if you insist on going everywhere and listen/talk to everyone. ^^
. - Bah, triggered the actual ending sequence before doing everything. 😦 Thank goodness I kept saving along the way. XD Now to reload and redo the two things I didn’t do when they were first offered.
. - What the? There was motion capture used in the game? ^^
. - Woo. Found Chapter 43. 😛 Ha. Slaughtered over 30 Reptids. XD Totally blew Syrenne out of the water. Nyuk nyuk~! Edit: Lalala. Looting like crazy right now. :3 I wonder if items carry over to the new game+? If so, the things found here should be useful~!
. - Now on Chapter 42. :3
. - I just noticed that Zael’s HP went down after Calista decked him. ^^ I wonder if you’ll get a Game Over if she manages to get him down to 0? XD (Damn, did it a second time and his HP fell to 2890. She sure slaps hard!!) Edit: Yes, the Game Over screen DOES appear after 3 slaps. 😛

The descendent thing was revealed earlier on that it is Caslita. I thought it was pretty clear anyway.
I wondered what happened if he refused. Just makes me like Calista more. XD
On a side note New Game+ the bosses are higher level. It’s more difficult later on because the bosses start to go over the max character level. The dungeon replays are more difficult too.
For some reason, I didn’t clue in that Aragnan and the Sorceress would have children together. I kept thinking that they’d be separate. XD
It happens. I know I keep thinking that maybe Calista and Zeal are both descendants/reincarnations of those two. XD
I was also confused about the whole Sorceress bloodline thing. We know Zael hails from a small village, so who knows? maybe it was the same village the Sorceress came from.
I also wasn’t that surprised by the whole Dagran thing. He was gone for a REALLY long time, and he was the only major character who could have and would have covertly killed General Asthar and sold secrets to the Gurak. Great boss fight, though, even if it was hard as balls.
