Although I already included most of the information into the FAQ, I’ll do a recap here because I said I would write up a separate post anyway in the 1st Anniversary Celebration post. ^^
The re-balancing was one of the big headliners for the 1st Anniversary update in late May. What Square Enix has done was retweaked the game quite a bit to make it more enjoyable overall!
Here’s the breakdown:
- Full Auto (フルオート) is now available to all players. While it still requires Chapter 1 of the story to be cleared first before the option can be used, it’s no longer a Mobius Gift Box exclusive.
. - Bonus Regions can be restarted before the 30 minutes are up. The game will also no longer force you back to the World Map if the time limit does fully elapse.
. - Expand Skills can be obtained more easily now.
. - Cards gained from Card Summons/Gacha (召喚カード) can be sold for Gil and 2 Revival Tickets.
. - Job Cards will always come with Skill Panel 2nd open (i.e. panel pages 5 – 8). It used to be that the second set of Skill Panel pages could only be unlocked by drawing the same job card again through special Job Class Change promo draws.
. - Revival Fusion (リバイバル合成)! Now you can use Revival Tickets to level up abilities and seeds or max them out in one go~!
. - Initial space for Card Box and Storage has been increased .
. - 3-Star Support Cards gained through card draws will have an Awakened Auto Ability (覚醒オートアビリティ) slot.
. - “Precocious” cards (早熟カード) have a + (plus sign) after their rarity number. They tend to be cards with maxed out abilities and/or Skill Seeds received through login bonuses or obtained via gacha.
. - Revival Tickets needed to raise the ability and Seed levels of 4-star and 5-star “Precocious” cards through Boost Revival (ブーストリバイバル) have been reduced.
.
For 4-star cards, they only require 10 Revival Tickets instead of 15, and for 5-star ones, they now only need 16 instead of 24.
. - Crystal Gigantuars (those shiny turquoise-ish coloured ones) will drop Light and Dark Fractal Cards as well.
. - Class changed ability cards will drop at the highest rarity. These only apply to map monsters. The exception to this are monster cards evolved to 4-star; you’ll still only get the 3-star version as spoils.
. - Skill Seed levels no longer reset after a card is class changed. Thank God.
. - Battle Score Skill Seed bonuses have increased.
. - Daily Missions now include 2 Revival Tickets as a reward and missions requiring certain job classes to complete have been removed.
. - In place of Skill Seeds being handed out as login bonuses, players will now receive Revival Tickets (5 each on 4 separate days), Elixirs (3 each on 3 separate days), and Phoenix Downs (1 each on 3 separate days).
. - Expalights (エキスパンドスキル) cost 600 Magic Stones instead of 1000, and a set of 6 Djinn Fragments (デジョンの魔片) can be purchased for 500 Magic Stones. Its original price was also 1000 Magic Stones.
. - Offerings in the Item Shop are more or less fixed! The daily availability of God Ray cards now match the elements of Side Story and Pleaides Lagoon regions. For example, Monday is Dark, Tuesday is Fire, etc. Sunday will provide 3-star and 4-star Rainbow Jewel cards. Also, Gigantuar Bulbs will be in the Shop on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays while Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays will see Mystery Slates (神秘の石板) for sale.
. - Sale items are now separated into 3 categories in the Item Shop.
. - Special Event cutscenes have been removed from the Synopses & Theater (あらすじ&シアター) section. In case you’re wondering, it’s found under the ETC menu.
. - List View has been added to the World Map.
. - Skill Panel Openers can be purchased directly from a Skill Panel.
. - Revival (リバイバル) section has been moved up to a higher spot in the SHOP menu for easier accessibility.
. - Solo play is now available in Multiplayer. Instead of waiting on other players to join your party, you can now use your own jobs as team mates. Simply cycle through a member spot as usual until you get AUTO.
. - Exchange up to 10 items at a time at Moggy’s Shop~!
Original Japanese text of the points above can be found at http://www.finalfantasy.jp/mobius/information/2016/05/26/24df1d663235a088f6e07a6641e0cdc0d85efe14.html. The only thing I didn’t translate was the “★シード倍率ボーナスの常時発生
・すべてのシードを覚醒していない状態でもシード倍率ボーナスが発生するようになり、カード成長途中の入手シードが増加します。” line because I can’t make heads or tails of it. ^^
Whoa thanks a lot bro! Really waiting for the translation up.
BTW, in pleiades lagoon, is there any tips for defeating the third monster without using any Phoenix down? Since a single attack from them can make me KOed, even with maxed skill panel and high card level.
My set-up is the upgraded Paladin for the Fire, Water, and Dark areas and the Pirate King (upgraded Viking) for Earth, Wind, and Light. Both have decent defense + I always have Hellgate, Hermes (for Haste) and Knights of the Round. Well, one of the three support cards are rentals.
If you’re using jobs with no defense, I would make sure you have a Break Resistance Down card equipped and maybe something that can delay the enemy turn, or have Wall + Barrier (like Hellgate).
I’m using paladin too,, with 10k HP but one attack from the boss eat about 50% of HP, wall only block once,,so the rest… I’m always ended using 2-3 Phoenix down😫
D: Which boss is this? Do you have the Masamune? It really helps because you can get Rainbow Orbs fast to keep healing + use Support cards when ready.
Any boss on the third circle. Their attacks were ridiculously high… I have masamune but not in its maximum stars because when FF vii event, I didn’t have maxed stars job 😂😂
